Metal Detecting Adventures – Pancky Donates to Gaston Museum

Digging into Texas history presents many opportunities for adventure for children and adults alike to enjoy. We at Pancky strive to promote a love of learning through action. Our brand vision includes a focus on introducing beginners to the world of metal detecting and the exploration and education that comes along with this rewarding hobby.

When the Gaston Museum in Joinerville, TX contacted us in June, we jumped at the chance to get involved with their “East Texas Oil Boom” program. Together with the executive director, Stephanie Osteen, we developed a hands-on activity using our beginners’ metal detectors as an integral part of the experience. This small, nonprofit organization dedicate its efforts to teaching kids about history.

With a donation of three PK0075 metal detectors for adults and two PK1003 metal detectors for kids, Pancky helped make it possible to explore this unique time in history in a more engaging way. The Oil Boom program will include multiple treasure hunt events in September and October. Families will learn about metal detecting and their importance to the field of archaeology. This includes stories about how people use these devices to find missing artifacts after the oil fields dried up.

Education and enjoyment go hand-in-hand. Our product line includes metal detectors intended for beginners because we want to support the learning process in every way. Using a new tool is more fun when you can jump right in and get started.

Pancky supports more than the growing metal detecting hobby. We constantly strive to bring more opportunities to children and adults alike through educational programs and organizations like ones developed by the Gaston Museum. To fulfill these goals, we will continue to donate metal detectors and work with nonprofits who share our love of exploration and discovery.
